Bethesda charges $50 for free play with s--- competition.

At the "street soccer" program we play with, sometimes we pay $20.  Sometimes $10.  Sometimes free.  It all depends on the cost of securing the location.

But the kids are all MLS Next/ECNL from the best clubs in the area.

The policies of "street soccer" is more a test of your character and they weed people out who are the source of club "politics."  The ballers in the area don't require turf fields and goals to get busy.  A tennis court and some cones will still allow them to get busy.

Why don't you try putting together a program where you gain access to good facilities and bring in top level talent for a free training session...then you will know that sometimes a charge is needed and usually acceptable by all the parents.  I'm a huge believer of VA street as they bring in really great kids and its mostly free at mostly great facilities.  You guys can complain about anything.  Or let me guess...you kid isn't invited??
