I don't think we've heard the last of this. I've seen a few School Board members say they are assuming the Centreville expansion will be scaled back given the KAA purchase and likely boundary changes. I wouldn't be surprised if the next draft CIP continues to refer to expanding CVHS to 3000, or if this then triggers some angry comments from some Board members and parents at other schools that would benefit if some of the money originally budgeted for the Centreville renovation/expansion was reallocated.
Exactly. Centreville does need renovated, but it doesn’t need a whole new tower and land leased from the park authority. Chantilly Needs its own renovation, that school barely has any windows. McLean needs major work to fix its issues. Then there’s Robinson Mount Vernon Annandale The rest of Justice The rest of West Potomac (Also received an unnecessary addition. And probably Lewis (which is essentially in hospice). Well, the rest of Madison too. Many of these renovations are just cosmetic and mechanical, with some of these possibly needing conservative additions, besides Chantilly (to a degree) and McLean which has been waiting for years.
"Centreville does need renovated" <--what are you trying to say here? "Centerville does need TO BE renovated??" Learn English.
DP. You had no problem supplying the missing words so no need to be such a jerk.
It does need major work done, but it should be kept modest in terms of expansion. However I have an idea of moving the Robinson feeding part of Union Mill to Centreville with the rest of the school, move Willow Springs (sans its attendance island) to Centreville with the Fairfax feeding part of Powell into Centreville too. That is after 362 Bull Run ES students are projected to move to Westfield High School with 200 something Chantilly High School Students.
It makes sense apart from the age-old question of who gets sent to Fairfax HS and whether Clifton would rather stay at Robinson. Maybe move all of Fairfax Villa back to Fairfax from Woodson.
