Check out Daniel Golden's Price of Admissions. It caused a stir when it came out in 2006 by naming names of the progeny of the rich and famous who got into colleges that they didn't seem to deserve to be in. And then it had renewed interest more recently, because one of the rich kids cited as a case study was a then not famous Jared Kushner who was described by all as "mediocre" but got in to Harvard after his father donated $2.5 million. https://www.propublica.org/article/the-story-behind-jared-kushners-curious-acceptance-into-harvard
And the extended Kennedy family kids
I went to high school with a Kennedy. Seemed very down to earth and like a good person. Poor grades, but went to an ivy. I wish her well. It's traumatic being in that family and facing so much tragedy. Yes, it's easy to cope when you have the resources of the rich, but still would not wish it on anyone. Plus, I'm sure it's no fun having all your classmates know you had a major advantage getting in.
Probably most of their classmates also had major advantages to get into any IVY league school.
