I have longish straight hair- a couple inches past my shoulders. I just sleep with it down most of the time, maybe in a loose ponytail in the summer. I’m surprised so many people are bothered by the feel of their hair at night. If you are bothered by your hair at night, would you describe yourself as having other sensitivities also, like maybe to wool or socks with seams? I’m wondering if this is more a general sensitivity issue rather than just an issue of being annoyed by the feeling of one’s own hair.
For me, it’s not the feel of my hair, it’s my peri hormones that make everything feel hot. So yes, when my hair is down at night it feels very warm against my skin. When it’s up I’m much more comfortable. I also sleep in a tank top and shorts 365. When I was younger I never pulled my hair up at night.
