In many Catholic cultures, Christmas Eve dinner is more important than any Christmas Day meal. This is how it is in France, for example. It's called le réveillon de Noël. But even so, most of these menus are far beyond the kind of energy that most people have. In the DMV, at least, with so many dual-income families where both parents have high-profile careers.
