So everyone who is anti-tech, do you not care about test scores that your child takes on computers?
I’m the PP who moved from out of state from a low tech public charter school environment. Before you apply, the staff make it abundantly clear that the kids most likely will test lower on the state exams since (barring 6th grade) it is the only time they use computers at school. Everyone who applies and attends is aware of that and for the most part, we all recognize that these computer test scores do reflect what our kids actually know. We’re willing to accept that for a learning environment without a ton of computer tech. In our situation, the school only goes through 6th grade. In 6th grade, computer skills are introduced to help with the transition to regular public school. Funny enough, a lot of the parents work for Microsoft or meta and other tech companies.
