But if there is a general feeling of less it is less. For holiday decorations, use fewer when talking about countable items (e.g., "fewer ornaments," "fewer wreaths") and less for general quantity or uncountable things. "Fewer" applies to things you can count individually, while "less" works for bulk or abstract concepts. Actually, if I were to correct the grammar, I would say it is less holiday decorating, not fewer holiday decorations.[/quote]
