Only doctors are paid at least triple what teachers make. Usually much more.

As a person who has had multiple chronic health issues since age six (not "made up" ones with only clinical diagnoses), I can't tell you how many terrible doctors there are out there. I have a handful of good ones, but I'd say 75% are genuinely terrible. Since moving here, I had to shop three gastroenterologists who were even minimally competent before finding a decent one. The first two would not even look at my medical history before telling me I needed to do yoga and relax. [/quote]

+1, its taken me over 20 years and countless doctors, who all ignored it all to finally be getting some help as thank goodness one doctor took the time to look into it and get me to the right specialist who cared.  They all said I was making it up, mental health, etc. when it was right there on my ct, blood and other test results.[/quote]
