I feel like people dismiss how important of a role genetics play in health. I am 24, but I already have diagnoses for allergies, plantar fasciitis, chronic pain, autism, sleep apnea, asthma, and high blood pressure. I don’t eat red meats, don’t drink or smoke, exercise as much as I safely can, and mostly just drink water. I have been like this throughout my whole life, and I don’t see how my habits led me to being almost crippled in my 20s
Overweight?
6’0” and 150 pounds is not overweight
Are you male? What is the nature of the chronic pain? Only asking because a young family member had plantar fasciitis in both feet at the same time (unusual, it's typically unilateral) and various other chronic pains in the knees and lower back. Was finally diagnosed with spinal arthritis. It's one of the few autoimmune diseases that are more common in men than women. In the majority of cases there is a predisposing genetic factor (HLA B27 positive, determined by a simple blood test), though not in the case of my family member.
