This is one parent's perspective - and it is no less valid than any other parent's perspective.  Unfortunately, MCPS has already decided what it wants to do.  The only real factor is voter backlash against local politicians whose career trajectory could be derailed.  Another one could be the loss of high-income earners who pay county taxes but decide to move to Northern Virginia for better schools once they're zoned out of the MCPS school for their current house.[/quote]
