People saying that nurses can leave the units they work on and their patients any time and go do whatever errands their wives need at whatever time their wives need them to do it - have never worked as nurses. You have a duty of care and you can't abandon your patients and just leave the unit and leave your patients whenever you want for whatever personal errand you need to run. And yes of course there are some nurses who work in non acute locations where they can leave whever they want for however long they want but those are not likely to be acute care nurses in hospitals.[/quote]
