When my parents were setting up their home it was simply what you did.  So there were more design professionals who helped you do it.  Recently, we did update the drapes in my parents' home and I can assure you that they didn't pay 15K.  They were modest, modern roman shades with a custom fabric.  It's about your priorities.  And yes, my parents paid at least 200K total to get their first floor (including kitchen) re-done.  Certainly more than they paid for any car.  But, again, priorities.[/quote]

Is there house worth $20 million? My house cost $1.6 million. I can’t imagine spending more than $10-$15,000 total for the whole house to have window treatments.  It’s just about the ratio.
