And I can see the argument in favor of why the new system is better. At the same time, I hate the idea of it.

At the SAME time, I notice how much of it resembles (how I interpret) my religion’s description of heaven — a sort of melding of souls in an environment where the only surviving motivations are love and care. I’m theoretically onboard with that as a possible afterlife. And yet, when shown as a possibility for earthly life it creeps me out.

My husband isn’t into philosophical debates like this and I’m dying to discuss! Anyone else have thoughts on episode 2?[/quote]
