Show me a chubby woman who has not been made to feel like absolute dirt for being chubby. Now a woman in the public eye? A whole different level. Never going to blame a woman for the messed up way society makes us feel about ourselves.
yea. I loved her because she seemed to be accepting of her weight and confident and attracting despite it (and she was attractive). But it was a front. Got how f'd up we are to women in this society. Same goes for Mindy. LOVED that show - the mindy project. A sexy attractive confident chubby woman. All a front too. Our poor girls.
I don’t think Mindy’s confidence was a “front” necessarily. I think you can be confident while also still hating the practical aspects of dressing while fat, especially on TV. You have to take way more care and thought with what you buy and wear. You can’t just put on a t shirt and jeans. It can be exhausting. I am sure Mindy is enjoying the freedom of dressing a really thin body after decades of having to dress for a certain body type. That doesn’t necessarily mean she wasn’t confident before.
