The latter part is true, but it ignores that the premise is flawed. We didn’t “let” men run the world. They are physically the stronger of the two sexes on average and at the extremes so in a physical challenge to the male authority that would be required if women chose not to “let them” run the world, women would lose. Easily.
So the fact that women have rights at all is because we have persuaded the men that it’s fair to do so and we have used our collective powers of persuasion and influence to make the case for it. But let’s not be naive—-if tomorrow men collectively decided that women should not be permitted to exercise any rights, it would not be a matter of us “letting them” take those rights away. They are simply physically stronger and could take everything by force if they wanted to. So I don’t think men such as bad as you think they do. At least for the moment.[/quote]
We don’t have to resort to hand to hand battle anymore. There are tools that one can buy very easily, thanks to the republicans, to even up that playing field. Don’t get too freaking cocky.[/quote]
