Not from a top private.  It doesn't  matter what your extracurriculars are.  if you are one of 5 kids with a 3.9+
that will be enough.

I wish people who don't know what they're talking about from direct experience would not opine.

Maybe in your world. At one Big3 there were 6-7 who went to Chicago this year. Not a single one was top 20% in the class. While it is a great school it is not a difficult admit in many private school circles. [/quote]
