You won't find much by way of real comparisons from these boosters. They tend to retreat when posed with legitimate inquiry. Their whole point is to boost and run, and, oh, call people "haters" who challenge their wasting people's time with their unhelpful / trollish rants. Shame, really. Between that and angry parents weirdly protesting, makes normal folks question what's up with the school. Between all of the yoga and free breakfast, I hope there's some halfway decent parents with half a brain over there. Also, for those that don't know, there's been complaints from parents about how legit the Spanish immersion is. An American college grad. who studied a little Spanish hardly qualifies as someone to teach the language.
The MV poster indicated that many of the teachers are NATIVE speakers: http://mundoverdepcs.org/our-team/ Teachers come from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, El Salvador, Peru, etc. None of MV teachers have just "studied a little Spanish." That's an inaccurate statment if this was meant to pertain to MV.
Are there any teachers that are not native speakers and learned the language in college? Many of them may be native speakers, but it's been going around that some are not. Anyone have the true story here?
Can you explain what "it's been going around that some are not." Are you a mV parent? Do you know Spanish? Not sure where this question is coming from? Are you referring to MV in particular or bilingual schools in general?
