Oxy is ridiculously woke and plagued by weak leadership. During the Biden years, it was sued by the Office of Civil Rights, US Department of Education, DOJ, and for discrimination and failure to protect Jewish students. Oxy settled its case earlier this year.  14 Jewish students have left since Oct 6 out of fear. The situation is so bad that there’s a Facebook page for parents against anti-semitism at Occidental College. The school suffers from a series of weak Presidents with the result that the uber left faculty run the place. And its $92,650 a year. You can do better.  It’s also only “moderately selective”. The school was also crushed by $30M in debt during COVID. Many programs, like football, were scrapped. It’s one of the many SLACs that may flounder and shutter in the next decade.[/quote]
