DCC people have explained ad nauseum why the direction in which MCPS is moving hurts our schools, and OP just ignored all of it. We can continue explaining it to you, but it's a waste of time because you simply don't care. You know your property values are higher not because your schools are so great but because MCPS sucks at educating Black, EML and low income students. As long as their test scores are terrible you can get more money for your house zoned for a school that has so few from these groups. There is no point arguing with someone who won't admit that they benefit financially from racial inequity and want to continue benefiting financially from it.[/quote]

Take race out of it and look at the inequities.  DCC families have smaller lot sizes so that plays a huge factor in property taxes.  You can fit 2-4 houses in the DCC as in other areas.  Also, many DCC homes cost as much or more now.
