Do you dispute that most men in their thirties and forties are married, and the single ones earn much less?  There are over 1 million men in prison and almost 1 million homeless.  Around 11% of working age adults have a disability.  There are poor immigrants and unskilled laborers who cannot support a family.  And then there are the "failures to launch" who live with their parents.  These guys are all single.

Some people live in a white collar bubble where everyone attended a Top 20 college.  But most adults lack a 4-year college degree.  Marriage is much more common for high income people.  This affects both single men and women.  But men are more willing to date women who earn less money and become homemakers.[/quote]
