[/quote] Yes, or even just arrest and detainment. Even if you eventually make it back to your family it’s pretty traumatic. My point is that people who say that they check to see if workers have green cards, are either lying or breaking the law. Even employers who are careful to follow the law will likely have employees who legal temporary status and permission to work, and that people in that category have reason to be afraid.[/quote]
