Same.  Years ago we spent time there but there’s no reason for us to go there anymore nor do I have any urge when there are nicer places to go.  Our kids definitely aren’t interested when they can go to Bethesda or elsewhere.[/quote]

What you really mean is that you and your kids aren't interested in hanging out in the vicinity of people of color, and prefer to hang out in Bethesda Row with others who can afford to buy in 20815 and 20816.

How do you know the PP isn’t a person of color? And more importantly, why do you make the assumption that people of color want to be around crime, vagrancy, and closed shops? Do you really believe POC are ok with that - or should be - and might enjoy more vibrant areas that are also cleaner with a variety of stores and shops and without the fear of being shot?

Always fascinating the assumption that POC should be ok with mediocre or negative environments and that nice places are only for white people.
