If my kid had an amazing coach, I wouldn't post about it here bc I don't want more competition for his spot from people showing up wanting to play for the coach. If his coach did NOT develop players I would happily post the club and initials to warn people off.
I know that is why people are not posting but that is the major issue here in the DMV. You know that you are hurting your kid and their maximum potential with this mindset. South London produces so many ballers because iron sharpens iron. Many of the parents of top kids in our age group share resources because we want to compete with each other which makes our kids better. If your kid is better than mine in training or club, that is fine. It does not hurt my ego. We are trying to simply peak technically by U15 and then see what puberty brings. I am playing the long game, not the "is my kid on the U11 ABCDEFG Next Champions League AAA Pulisic 1st team that won Jefferson Cup, SuperCopa and State Cup" short game. Pro tip I received in my first year in club soccer from a coach: Rarely will the best uLittles be the best at 18-19. I would like to ask this question: Are there any private trainers/coaching groups equivalent to the technical work that Coach Vin at Achilles or Coach Simone at BSC focus on? I have NO PROBLEM sharing their names because I want the best to attend their training sessions. We train with both periodically and this allows my kid to compete with the best. Our schedules don't always match up with theirs so I also want to explore options and have different viewpoints like another poster mentioned . It would be a shame if they are the only two in the DMV. I will check out the Juventus guy. Thanks for the recommendation. Let's make DMV soccer great again. Aren't you people tired of Philly and Jersey kicking our butts?
Now, when it comes to private coaching? I’ll never tell.
