Is your daughter is in a class with numerous English Language learners? If so, then what would you prefer they do? Teach two curriculums simultaneously? This is the primary reason that MCPS needs to do away with “honors for all.”

The PP you responded to should be speaking with the English content specialist and the relevant AP at her school. Non-ELD students should be getting the regular CKLA curriculum. And if that doesn’t happen even after speaking with the school, she should escalate to the secondary English department in central office and the school’s principal. -DP[/quote]
