I doubt he said this. And the union has zero credibility, as far as I’m concerned. All they do is whine and collect dues but never get results.

To the extent he did say something like this, he probably meant that the lawyers and accountants and other highly educated professionals should be paid MORE, while many other positions are grossly overpaid (given that they’d be lucky to get 60 percent of what they make here anywhere in the private sector). I’ve heard that he did say the staff are overpaid from both union and non union sources.  Who really knows though?  It’s not like he is announcing his disdain for our pay scale during a town hall meeting.
