I think you could do this with a cheap contractor for around 4-5k, could be as much as 10k depending on how much you have to retrofit the plumbing and how much tiling is required (like will you be able to just tile in and around the shower or will you have to retile the whole floor due to the size of the tiles or layout of the bathroom or something?), as well as the finish level you choose.

I'd get a few estimates on Thumbtack but also talk to a few more established contractors or bathroom specialists just to get a range. I think 2-3k is super optimistic and would be a bit suspicious of anyone who quoted that low unless it includes zero materials. But also if you get anything over 8k, unless that's due to upgraded material choices, I'd look at their man hour estimate and figure out why. [/quote]
