Also noticed our lawn service suddenly employee different men.  Like the ones they replaced, they all appear to be from Central America.  But, why the sudden turnover? [/quote]

I know this is anecdotal, but I know probably 3 families who left due to job loss, mostly relocating to the West Coast where tech money has retained some jobs in our industry. Then another 3 who were mixed US citizen/green card holder families who left to go back to the country of one of the parents, all in Southeast Asia or Western Europe.

A friend who is an administrator in a high needs school said the number of kids leaving the country is not as high as she expected, but as a PP noted, they may not be living with their own parents. So, undocumented parents or parents in the middle of their immigration process signed  guardianship paperwork and left their kids in the care of US citizen friends and family.
