Democrats around the country did not accept this.  Dean Phillips ran explicitly on this.  You vote for Phillips in New Hampshire, and then other candidates jump in, maybe Biden drops out like LBJ.

Democrats also VOTED FOR BIDEN. In New Hampshire when he wasn’t even on the ballot they WROTE HIM IN. There was no appetite for this. That’s why he should have taken the midterms as a win and gotten out, saying look at this incredible bench. But no one told him that everyone thought he had said over and over that he was only running for one term even though he had only hinted at it once.[/quote]

That’s what I thought and said at the time. But in hindsight he didn’t get much done domestically after the House flipped anyway.[/quote]
