There are a lot of boys and girls like this one at Exeter -- all individuals. You may wish to dismiss the school for whatever ulterior motives but do you also wish to dismiss the peer group attending the school?
I don't wish to except the peer group (or the boy) one bit. Was just clarifying misinformation. There is no world-wide high school ranking, or at least performance in this event is not about high schools. Exeter has some great students, drawn there for math by the teaching and the attention of the US team coach, who teaches there, and many of these studetns do really well in national and international math competitions. But that is different from saying "Exeter ranks #4 in the world."
