States are banding together to overcome the damage that the current administration is doing to the federal system. Might this be the way of the future for the US as a whole and become the beginnings of dividing the US into separate regions with some type of weak federal oversight? https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/03/us/western-health-alliance.html?smid=threads-nytimes
No, we're aren't throwing away everything so many have fought and died for simply because we're suffering through a period of inadequate leadership since Obama left office. It will take just one leader to step up and reunite the country as soon as 2029. Be stronger or stop pretending to be an American and move.
That is pretty naive. What do you think will happen if a democrat tries to remove all these Trump appointments? You think a democrat president could fire the head of the FBI or CIA without crazies attacking? This country is done. Break it apart is the only way forward. Republicans hate blue states. They would celebrate if the blue states leave.
Not really, just the blue parts of otherwise red states. I'm partial to busting up California. Free the red counties!
The only things that need to be busted up are the two major political parties that have poisoned the brains of otherwise smart people. You all need to grow up and realize who your true enemies are. It isn't each other; it's the ultra wealthy and powerful political donors who have robbed the American people of control of our Federal Government.
You're right about who did this, but you're wrong that getting rid of the 2 party system fixes this, and also ignores that there's no realistic way to do so without violence in this current climate. Right wing voters are brainwashed. I've spent the last 10 years trying to find common ground and reach these people. The fear, hatred, and misinformation goes too deep. I no longer believe they can be reached. It's like some kind of psychosis. It doesn't matter what proof you offer them, they will find a way to not believe it. There is no moving forward in a peaceful or unified way with these people. They are lost. They want to live in a world without vaccines. In a world where men rule over women, where sexual assault and rape aren't real, and women birth babies whether they want to or not. In a world where other races happily live in subjugation to White people, and never make them think about diversity equity or inclusion. In a world where empathy is a bad thing. Where church and state are one and the same. Where children are routinely sacrificed at the alter of gun worship. Let them have it. Why continue to fight with them? Let them go their way and the rest of us can join the civilized world.
