Not the case with Republicans. Shutdowns have already happened twice on Trump's watch, including the biggest and most disruptive one to date in American history (lasting 35 days) Republicans have been responsible for every single shutdown in the last 30 years, whether Newt Gingrich shutting down Clinton's government demanding deep cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and other vital programs, or Republicans shutting down Obama's government over ACA and so on. GOP is the party of government dysfunction.[/quote]
