Yeah, this is a demotion. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have been fired. But anyone who is saying this is a promotion is wrong.

Anyone can look up the job descriptions. The position he is taking is on the unified salary schedule C, grade 5. The highest step is 20 with a pay of $202K.

Can you please work on your reading comprehension skills? No one said he is making that. All you see is an apples to apples comparison of the job pay scale which indicates he has been demoted. The top of both pay scales is step 20.

No idea what step this guy is on. But I do know that at whatever step he is on, it will be at least $20K less than his principal job. [/quote]
