A few years ago we used a company (you see their cars around here), paid $229 for every 3 weeks (looks like bi-weekly rate was $215) for 1600 sf, not dirty, no pets, and it would take two women less than an hour. Said they would clean windows and oven during first-time deep cleaning, did not— Said they’d mop weekly, and despite my emailing frequent reminders, often did not— Said they’d use eco-friendly products, but just splashed bleach in bathrooms— Did not dust, change sheets, or do dishes or laundry. 3 different women in teams of two, only one understood minimal English— My MIL uses an individual cleaning person and pays a similar rate in cash for her 3600sq ft home so I’ll be going that route for this new house.
I hired one of those for a first-time cleaning of a very small house no pets no kids. Quote was 325. Fine. Two workers, there less than two hours, and they didn't deep clean anything. It was all surface and not very sanitized. The epitome of hotel cleaning- make it "look clean". No mopping, just spray and wipe floors. Never had them back.
