Op here. I'm aware but my current is from one of those cities and he did not grow up obsessed with wealth despite growing up having plenty. Myself I grew up with a mother who came from generational wealth but she married my dad for love and I plan to do the same. [/quote]

People who grew up with plenty of money usually are not as obsessed with wealth. Money is just a matter of comfort to them, a daily fixture.

That's right.  They often take it for granted, and/or they are sensitive about people liking them for their money, so they try to hide it or limit their dating pool to people from their circle.  [/quote]
