I have at least 12 people in my very close circle who have been without jobs for last 6 months. While the government is getting a lot of money through tariffs, people are losing jobs at the same time. How is the country becoming rich and people becoming poor go together? Inflation is through the roof. Altoids is now $7.99 for example. More and more people are losing jobs and hiring has gone down. What is our future like?
My goodness, stop spewing fake news.
NP. Which part of that is fake?
All of it.
Ok, the price of Altoids appears to be off. But you don’t believe people are losing their jobs?
Unless OP is homeless, knowing 12 people that lost jobs is a stretch. Even if that were true, more of a stretch is that NONE of them got another job. Uber, UberEats, McDonald’s, substitute teaching, waitressing, OF, nothing? Nice troll attempt but make it more believable next time.
A former white collar worker doing DoorDash or McDonald’s is still unemployed to most people.
The biggest fraud our politicians committed against us is counting these gigs jobs like Uber eats, doordash as real jobs. The tech bros became filthy rich by destroying traditional business in the name of innovation. Taxi drivers had a better standard of living than Uber drivers. In fact this country claimed to have created millions of jobs over the past 10 years or so. The truth is the gig economy benefited the same usual suspects (rich capital owners) at the expense of everyone else.
