This must be a common thing? Never knew about this. So gross! Thanks for the heads up, will avoid public swimming pools now. Already considered them like swimming in sewage, but this draws the line, don't need virus warts on top of the ick.
This is a forum related to swimming and diving. I imagine you're the only poster who is able to just avoid pools. Maybe this forum should also be avoided by you b/c it is dedicated to people who are frequently at pools.
PP only said public pools. I pictured PP as a wealthy woman typing this from her mansion overlooking her private pool while the pool boy cleans it.
Literally no one posts on this board about things like private swimming pools, the Water Mine, oceans, etc. The posts are all about swim teams (costs, gossip about, what costs include, volunteering requirements, NVSL, etc.), technique, meets, coaches, etc. Why would anyone who finds public swimming like swimming in sewage be here? It's like being on an NYC board and saying you think being in NYC is like walking in poo.
I find public swimming to be like sewage. But my child is obsessed with swim team so here we are. My child also got warts on their feet from it.
Ick, I never would have known about the wart thing if it wasn't for this board. Thank goodness I learned before that happened. Viruses are with you forever and change your DNA over time. Gross.
Eh, one of mine had a wart on his foot and after we used the wart stick, it was gone and no others have ever returned. Family of swimmers of 15+ years...not that common
