Am I the only one who doesn't mind thinning shears? I have thick hair which grows fast. My stylist uses them every third or fourth cut. I especially love it in the summer. My head feels lighter and cooler.
same here
Same. I have fine hair but a TON of it. I'm not sure how else to get rid of the bulk/weight, assuming I don't want layers.
Hmm, I also have a lot of fine hair. My hair is also textured (type 2b) and frizz prone. Thinning sheers make my hair look like a helmet. They kill my texture because my waves can't hold up to them, but they can actually increase volume because with less weight my hair shrinks up and has a lot of volume. So they give me 90s newscaster hair. Once a stylist used thinning sheers on my hair when it was pretty short and it's the worst haircut I've ever had. No style or definition, just volume, but short. Like an afro but straight and on a white woman. I cried.
