I love how some people count getting ready for work and their commute and lunch as hours spent working. Therefore, I work 80 hours a week. I’m the most productive and important and incredible person where I work, and I still make all my kids events, volunteer rescuing puppies and fly to the Mediterranean every weekend to rescue immigrants from sinking boats.
With work from home and mandated commutes. I feel like the onus is more on the employer than it was before. I used to work for a manufacturer. When I cam back from break and knew how to assemble the things twice as fast they raised the rates. Thats what I get for thinking in my off time. Treating salaried folk like common hourly again. The way I see it if you can't get what you need to do done in less than 30 hours on time and under budget, I'm a going to fire you for not thinking.
