Do you credit the teachers for the students getting A’s in high school?
You would have us believe that a school with terrible teachers and one with amazing teachers would yield the exact same outcomes, all else being equal?
Of course not. You are making a straw man argument. That’s not what anyone is saying. For two basically similar schools, the student would do just as well at either. Just like in the soccer case, any ECNL club’s first team would have good enough professional coaching where they are basically similar and a player could do just as well with any of them.
Assuming facts not in evidence. It's not a given at all that the quality of coaching for the first teams at ECNL clubs is uniform. Why would you conclude that?
It's not uniform. But all are above the threshold and "good enough" to get a talented player where they are capable of being. The facts bear this out as all of the local ECNL clubs have had top commits over the years. Obviously some have had more than others but that's because they are better at recruiting the top players to their clubs. There is no magic coaching formula that any of these clubs or coaches have to turn rocks into diamonds. The game is to collect the most diamonds to your club.
Correct
