I always thought of them as déclassé trees. However now I have one, and there are a lot in the neighborhood, and I kind of like them. They have a lot of selling points. They give a good cottage vibe at are a nice bridge to fall. I still think Rose of Sharon is trashy though, even though it has beautiful leaves and a lot of flowers. But it always looks messy.[/quote]
