I think it's much much harder for women because they have far more to lose. Pick the wrong guy and your life is at risk. Pick the wrong guy and he can leave you a single mom.

Having choices does not mean it's easier. A lot of women are in unhappy relationships, but for whatever reasons they have convinced themselves that staying in those relationships is better.

Being lonely is not necessarily a bad thing. It's much better than being with someone just because you don't want to be single. I have no issues with lonely paying for sex if they can afford it. Some of the men that pay for sex will surprise you. Some are very attractive, rich and not weird.

I think the issue is that women are frustrated when men are depressed and don't turn to them for support..what some of these women fail to understand is that the way men handle depression and stress is very different from women.

I almost got divorced because I went through a very depressive period and DW though she was helping and I was being ungrateful. It wasn't until I went through a long therapy that I understood that men's depression is very complex. Our wives have the best of intentions, but sometimes they make it worst more than help. I strongly recommend for men who feel lonely and depressed to seek therapy. And I specifically recommended a male therapist. [/quote]
