I know you are trying to be helpful, but it’s misguided. Not all kids have “a fabulous talent” and are “standouts, winning awards.” OP would be delighted with that, no matter what the activity. It’s not the outcome for the vast majority of kids and it’s irrelevant to OP’s concern.[/quote]
