Wondering if Stowe, VT (the town vs. on the mountain) or something similar is a good place for year-round rentals. On another thread, somebody mentioned Taos...but was again unclear if they meant Taos Ski Valley vs. Taos the town. Trying to find a place where we would occupy for a decent amount of the year (3+ months), but is in a true town vs. a ski resort like Vale and can rent decently all-year round. Looking for vacation-type spots vs. a large city or renting to college students.
OP, I might have been the one that mentioned Taos. My cousin owns a place (it's several really, one main house where they stay and 3 casitas that they rent out) that's near Taos (town), but not really far from anything. It's in El Prado. I think they don't have trouble finding tenants because they are meticulous about how they keep the place, the views are fantastic, and it's close to town, but also an easy drive to Taos Ski Valley.
