I’m looking to send my kid to a Catholic high school this year, but it’s 13 miles away. So, I’m considering a door-to-door van service. I’d like to get a sense of the general costs before I take the plunge, as well as understand what the process typically involves. Thanks in advance!
OP what school and where do you live? Have you considered carpooling?
St. John’s, and Rockville.
Could your student metro on the red line from Rockville to Tenleytown and then take a C81 bus east, arriving right in front of SJC? Could do the reverse going home.
Will look into this thanks!
I recommend doing a trial run of this route once or twice before school starts at about the same time as your child would be commuting, if possible. Leave early enough to give your child some wiggle-room in case of metro/bus delays, traffic, etc. A few practice trips and your child will be a pro! During the school year, there will be tons of other students taking this same route.
