There are degrees of intelligence. An average or above average intelligent American student has no business taking the spot of a brilliant foreign student who aced the SATs in a SECOND language and will likely excel at school and life and stay in the US and contribute to science, technology, medicine, the arts….Why is it hard for people to understand that this policy hurts America in the long run?! Steve Jobs’ dad was an immigrant… Obama’s dad was an immigrant… Elon Musk is an immigrant etc. 
When I want a car, I don’t buy an American one because imo German cars are superior. Should we ban imports of superior goods next? [/quote]
