I think it's sad that for a lot of the former DCC cheerleaders like Dayton's mom and Victoria's mom, their former and short-lived time as a DCC is their entire identity and their kids grow up thinking that that's the ultimate goal in life.  For example, Victoria's room was like a shrine to DCC and I don't think Victoria went to college, even though it seems like her family has enough money that she could have gone onto college to have a real life beyond this one weird niche world.

Riley Gaines is the person who rallied against allowing transwomen like Lia Thomas compete against bio women in college sports.  I disagree with 99.99% of what the Trump administration does, but in this case, Riley was right.  There is no way that allowing someone who went through puberty as a boy and is taller, stronger and has upper body strength of a man swim against against women is fair to women's sports.[/quote]
