Nobody is arguing you have to swim at the highest levels of the NVSL (or country club) to be great and certainly nobody is arguing that the NVSL division 1 teams have cornered the market on all great swimmers. The difference between the top and bottom divisions has always been depth of great swimmers and consistency, not lone examples of greatness. It's just summer swim.
