I doubt you've ever booked a room and taken responsibility for anyone who was not in your family.[/quote] That’s a completely different situation and that’s not a hotel rule. That’s you not trusting your friends to pay for themselves or not trash the hotel room and leaving you with the bill :) I travel with either family or people I know well enough that I don’t think twice about putting their rooms in my name. As I wrote above, the only time I add names is when someone other than me is arriving first and doing check in. [/quote]
