Not just the situation where the coach’s kid is roughly equal in ability—where you think, “Okay, sure, I get it.” I’m talking about when the coach’s kid is clearly not interested, lacks skill, and would rather be doing something else. It's the elephant in the room. The parents avoid the topic, the coach seems oblivious (maybe that’s for the best), and everyone just silently accepts it for an entire season.
