One thing I found interesting from the article is that the State was asking for TEN YEARS in a juvenile detention facility, which seems wildly out of proportion for what we know about how Maryland addresses youth crime, and also considering a crime did not exist because everyone in the story (parents, therapists, fellow patient) did the right thing.
